Come experience living green at Fields Neighborhood’s Green Life Day on Saturday, October 4, 11:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. All are welcome to tour Fields Neighborhood and its area organic community including award-winning green built housing, innovative environmental solutions, local organic foods and holistic community businesses. Located at the corner of South and West Streets, Fields Neighborhood is nestled in the rolling hills of Southeast Wisconsin 30 minutes from Milwaukee and 90 minutes from Chicago. This vibrant green community in East Troy offers organic living and holistic resources in abundance.
Come dwell in possibility at Fields Neighborhood as you walk the miles of nature preserve trails, enjoy the prairie gardens or discover straw bale building demonstrated by expert Greg David. Bring the kids to join in the children’s activities at the Waldorf-inspired Climbing Tree Child Care and Family Education Center and learn from the biodynamic gardens at neighboring Michael Fields Agricultural Institute. All are welcome to taste and take home local farm produce or fresh Nokomis breads from holistic grocer Local Industry or Uriel Pharmacy’s natural remedies and supplements.

Michael Fields Agricultural Institute (MFAI) offers year round classes, local organic foods and a peace of mind that Fields Neighborhood’s surrounding farmlands are secured from future development. Hosting their Harvest Festival on the same day, October 4, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., visitors to Fields Neighborhood can enjoy Michael Fields wagon farm tours, a bee hive walk, antique farm equipment, a farmer’s market, wholesome children’s activities and hands-on demonstrations.
Green Life Day is free and open to all.
